Advanced Search


What An Advanced Search Is: An advanced search is a specific way of finding results. When you do an advanced search it narrows the number of websites you have to look at and it finds just what you're looking for.

How to do an Advanced Search: There are many steps in doing advanced search.


1. First you go to www.Google.com.

2. Next near the Google search bar, look for the advanced search link and click on it.

3. Third you type in what your searching for in the "this exact wording or phrase" bar.

4. Then if you don't want to search a certain type of search look for the "any of the unwanted words" bar.

5. Finally click on search and then you have an advanced search.

For example if you wanted research on US history and didn't want any information on Alaska all you have to do is type in - Alaska. But then you also wanted information on Washington D.C you type in + Washington D.C.
