Advanced Search

When you want to look up an a specific topic and they give you a lot of information, you could do an an advanced search. An advanced search is a search that you could find the same topic but not a lot of results as before. If they also give you words that don't fit in what you are not looking for, you could also go on advanced search and type in what you don't want to look for. For an example, if you are looking up dolphins and they gave you information on sharks, you could put an minus sign and type the word sharks next to it then they won't give you information about sharks. Then if you want the food the dolphins eat then put a plus sign and type in the word next to it then they would give you information about the food dolphins eat. This is how you use an advanced search.

It would look like this: "dolphins"- sharks +food

How to go on a advanced search 1. Go on Google.com 2. Type in the key words for the things your looking for 3. Then go on advanced search 4. In the box on top your keywords would be in quotation marks. This means that you will find less results and better information. 5. If you want to add words that you are looking for you could put a plus sign and it will add that word for you. 6. If you don't want to find/ get a certain piece of information, you should put a minus sign and the computer will not show you that information.
